  1. Very nice–except that it bothers me that the daughters seem to be hovering over a completed flag, randomly putting stitches in the middle. It definitely looks posed.

  2. I guess it took the artist too long to set up his easel, so they were already finished sewing by the time he was ready. What else could they do but pose?

  3. It took him a really long time to set up his easel and then finish the painting, since it was published in 1927,150 years after the flag was supposedly completed.
