  2. Google reinforces my memory here: The engineering building on the BYI-I campus is named after Austen. The science building carries Romney’s name.

  3. Ah, the spelling glitch that raised unlikely hopes. I was wondering why the engineers at BYU-I were tutored under the kindly gaze of Jane Austen, but, alas, it turns out it is Austin.

  4. Turns out that he was a major factor in building the SE Idaho sugar beet refining industry. Sorry to disappoint those enamored with Mr Darby.
