A Cheap Remedy

By Hazel Workman
Hurricane, Utah

Fresh air’s the only thing we need,
Our coughs and colds to break.
It’s inexpensive; free to all;
And it’s not hard to take.

We have it here on every side
And it is free to all.
It’s best to be out in the air,
If you can scarcely crawl.

I think it foolish to stay in
With every window down,
The sunshine won’t hurt anyone–
Though it may turn you brown.

So don’t stay “cooped up” by the stove,
That’s sure to make you ill;
But wrap up warm and march outside
And just breathe in your fill.
