A Primary Prayer
For Nineteen Hundred and Thirty

By Lula Greene Richards

Our Father in Heaven: We thank Thee
For our parents loving and kind,
For all our friends and dear ones
And blessings of body and mind.

Save us we pray Thee, from every ill
Through this great hundredth year
Since Thy Church was formed anew on earth
By Joseph Smith, Thy Seer.

Help us to think and do good things
And pleasant words to say,
That we may help to make the world
More beautiful each day.

Forgive us if we should forget,
And make us good again,
That we may be forgiving, too.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
