		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s that bad.You can see some of it by looking at the color of the sky in this picture -- that&#039;s pollution trapped by the temperature inversion, not storm clouds. The news people keep offering comparisons to help us understand how bad it is (as if literally choking a couple of times walking from the bus stop to the library weren&#039;t enough). If those comparisons are right, being outside in this muck for eight hours does the equivalent lung damage of smoking a pack of cigarettes during the day.]]></description>

Six uninterrupted hours unwrapping the dozens of light strands from one 12-foot tree, each strand 25 feet long with 50 lights.  It&#039;s amazing what can be done with plentiful free labor.  It was a wonderful, quiet, meditative day.]]></description>
