Thanks for this post. It is a piece of ephemera I did not have in my personal collection re my great-grandfather, and I appreciate the opportunity to include it. Hope all is well. Bob Clark

Ardis,
I've forwarded the Heber J. Grant item on to Robert A. Clark, formerly of the The Arthur H. Clark Co. and University of Oklahoma Press, since through his mother he is a HJG descendant. Bob's also a descendant of Daniel H. Wells, lieutenant general of the Nauvoo Legion during the middle third of the nineteenth century, which made it ironic as well as interesting while he was editing my Utah War history. (Ever have the feeling that one or more of the characters in your book is looking over your shoulder?) For those of you who may have lost track of Bob since he left Oklahoma earlier this year, he's now editor-in-chief of the Washington State U. Press in Pullman and remains active in the editorial affairs of OCTA while running his antiquarian book business as well.

Glad to see another installment in the series. I tested my boys on the reading level of the others. My eight-year-old did good (great with word comprehension but struggled somewhat with the lo-resolution cursive). The 6-year-old was clueless.

The Washington D.C. Chapel rises again. And the I.F. temple is included in the Grant administration. Hmmm...

How would the church respond to a 20-something (or even 30-something) apostle these days?

That's fine, Grant, we'd like you even if we had to call you "Hebe." : )

I know lots of kids -- well I guess some of them are probably in their 30s now -- named Spencer and Dallin and the like.
