  3. That’s an interesting omission, Gary. That vision certainly should have been familiar after all the places it had been published in the first few years following JFS’s death. I’ll try to find out how long it had been since it was last published before 1945 to guess whether memory had faded, or whether there’s some other explanation.

  4. Rather a short bio, so not surprising that they left something out. He wrote inventories of his livestock in letters that were longer than this.
