Sweet are the uses of adversity….

No one at my Uncle’s farm in Idaho used to say that when I was thinning those seemingly endless rows of sugar beets in the hot sun as a 12 year old. Yeah, the gag has not yet run its course yet, because I will admit I was wondering what kind of message would there be in the Children’s Friend about adversity. I was surprised, then did the palm-to-face smack and thought, “Doh!” when I saw the U&I ad.
