I got caught up today.

“Clumsy” is a good word for the writing, but it should be interesting to see how things play out.

I like Bob’s awakening awareness of his parents as people, rather than just parents.

It’s a clumsily written story, but I think the premise is intriguing, to use your word, David. What *does* happen to a couple when one continues to grow and develop, and the other, unnecessarily but with the best of intentions, stagnates? Can the laggard ever catch up? Can the couple ever come together again? How?

I’m hoping readers will find the premise interesting enough to stick with this, even though the writing really is awkward without being so ridiculously corny that it redeems itself by the inadvertent laughter it provokes.

Thanks for being Voice #1, David, even if it took three installments to draw the first comment!

Chapter 3 and no comments? Is it that everyone is just trying to figure it out or doesn’t know what to think?
