I picked this one as a deliberate contrast to the one posted Monday. We’re clearly meant to cheer for the clever working wife in this case and the way she manages things so that they all live happily ever after … but you can’t look very closely before you start to see the problems.

So…what if you’re not the fantastic talent that can sell your goods to the opposing team in order to tease your husband back into being interested? I liked the story, but I sure didn’t like the message.

Wow. So many little pieces worth exploring that can’t be in a piece of this length. It shows how one’s perceptions, no matter how inaccurate, create one’s reality.

I was kind of thinking that perhaps Maizie was the “other woman” and that she was just trying to get Mary out of the way
An intriguing end, though; the phrase “cop-out” sort of sprang to mind!
