I notice a future General Authority in the LDS Men of the Naval Reserves photo, Elder Malcolm S. Jeppson, who recently passed away. Always love these photographs!

Charles Henry in the last picture was my ninth grade teacher. His daughters are still teachers in Rigby. Great family. It’s good to know more about him.

Why all the “foreigners” in the last photo? Oh. 1943. It was World War II. Camp Howze was an “infantry replacement training center.” (Thanks, Wikipedia.)

I agree with Bruce Crow on this. I like looking at the pictures and places of long ago. I think about how the Church must have been under those circumstances and how much has changed since then. I always enjoy this series.

That picture of the Stake Missionaries from Inglewood, California, got my hopes up. My mother was in the Inglewood Ward, and graduated from high school in 1943. But, alas, neither she nor her parents were in the picture.
