If I Were You
If I Were You
By Grace McKinstry
Aunt Mabel says, “If I were you,
This is the way that I would do.”
But if she could be, wouldn’t she
Be pretty sure to think like me?
Or would she keep her grown-up mind
Though children have another kind?
Aunt Mabel might be rather small
And still not be like me at all!
So, when she starts, “If I were you – ”
I don’t just think her talk seems true.
