So, if it’s been at least 10 years, then Gloria is at least 21. None of her 4 older brothers have gotten married? I almost posted on the first installment, ‘Please don’t tell me he marries her later on.’ The way it was worried was a little creepy, remembering she was only about 11 at the time. Also, I keep visualizing Gloria with blond hair instead of red with all the ‘crown of glory’ talk!

Bt my count, it has now been at least 12 years, perhaps more like 14, and John Kirkman still hasn’t shown up? Obvious evidence of abandonment. Plus I find Jonas Whitman’s final pronouncement just a little creepy. Very little softening of the racist sentiments, either. Now, if Jonas Whitman’s house with the conservatory can just turn out to be a gothic mansion, complete with the ghost of his dead wife, we might still be able to salvage something here.
