I bought six copies of this volume as Christmas Presents (one for myself of course). My mom, step mom, mother-in-law, and two grandma's...I can't tell you all the positive reactions to this book. I agree that you will want the hard copy. And I have already got my Christmas shopping planned for the next several years. This is the sort of book that will open our appreciation to the fact that the sometimes unheralded women then and now really make the world turn and the gospel continue to the nations..

It is quite a collection. I was interested to read the Eliza R Snow entry, and see Jill Mulvay Derr's mention of at least one St George woman in the Eminent Women project. Another of the Eminent Women has her own chapter.

A fairly remarkable feature of the book is the sources. Very comprehensive. (Including, of course, citations of the historic work of J. Stapley and Kris Wright and many others.) There is no reason to be afraid of our history and this book is glowing proof of that.

Fantastic. I already have a stack of Church history books waiting to be read, but I'll have to add this one to it.

I recognize the name of NNA Tracy as the first of my mother's line to embrace the Gospel. I found her autobiography through an impromptu service project that was so random that I'm forced to admit that it couldn't have been random at all.
