Still, it has a Mormon flavor that I liked — not just for its overtly Mormon story, but for the feeling I got of a woman sitting at her kitchen table trying to be creative, and the Magazine that gave her a taste of success. Don’t know at all if that’s an accurate picture since I know nothing about Edna May Irvine. Googling doesn’t turn up anything about her, although there’s quite a bit about her son Reed, who founded the conservative group “Accuracy in Media.” (That’s not an invitation, by the way, for comments attacking or supporting AIM’s practices — I merely note the connection.)
