I’m approximately 20 years younger than Janet would have been, but looking back at how free range we were in the ’60s and ’70s, I don’t think my mother would have had any hesitation about giving me the same freedom Janet had, as long as my homework was done and I didn’t have band practice or something. It’s a different world now for sure.
