And speaking of apricots, it’s cruel to post such a glowing description of the fruit when my two trees are completely barren, thanks to a hard frost this spring. Arghh.

This story seems way less fictional to me than the Haven Family chronicles we recently endured, pardon me, enjoyed. And I’ve seen pictures of grandparents and others in my family history that turned out to be boys, but you couldn’t tell it from the way they were dressed. Alyn does seem like that kind of mother, potentially.

Spoiler Alert: I suspect that as others have indicated, that Judith will not survive childbirth, opening the way for Alyn and John to adopt. John will also make a small fortune with his Apricot sport, become a sport, and the money will ruin his life. But Alyn, well, she’ll have the last laugh over all of her hat-sense-deficit friends. She’ll have money, and she can wear the right hat for the outfit and occasion, FTW!
