Oh yay! I thought you’d said there were going to be five parts of this. I’m glad to see it settled so soon!

It is a trifle over-the-top and I’d like to hear an accounting of why Mrs. Allen passed them up to begin with but all’s well that end’s well.

I don’t know how realistic any of this is, jks, but I suspect that in an age where there were so many more children who needed homes than there are today (or at least, I mean children who are legally adoptable and not held in limbo in the foster care system), I wonder if it really might not have been easier to find Annes and Olivers. Don’t know, just guessing.

The ease with which a couple can show up at an orphanage and find two sweet, normal children to take home is something we rarely see today. Couples today who adopt out of the foster care system seem to find children who have been so neglected and abused that their emotional and psychiatric needs are immense.
Where are the Anne of Green Gables, Olivers and Annies today? Have things changed, or were people just more naive to think things could be righted so easily?

Whoa! When that guy leaped over the fence, I was sure he was going to be Janet’s imaginary friend. And then the sun coming up bright and the whole Sunshine Lady with golden hair thing, is it just me, or is this all a little “trippy.” (I swear, I havn’t had anything but Diet Coke with my lunch!)
