Braggernacle
At the end of March, the Association for Mormon Letters recognized Keepa’s Best Beards in Mormon History with its first-ever award for a blog post. I was flattered, but at the time thought it was a little odd that AM*L* had chosen a post with so little *L* in it. It wasn’t until the certificate came that I realized it was for the three-part series as a whole, perhaps especially for the third part with its interviews with contest winners.
For those of us who put so much effort into our blogging, it’s a significant milestone to have blogging included as a genre worth the time and notice of an organization like AML. Thank you, AML (Margaret Young, President).
Here’s the certificate:

Congrats!

What a lovely award. I agree: you are a gift, not only to the Mormon history community or the Bloggernacle, but to the entire Mormon community.

Ditto on all the above. This morning in our priesthood meeting, one of your beard examples sang in a quartet as part of the preparations for next week’s Aaronic priesthood commemoration program.
