But at the same time they also executed those captured enemy combatants (and even the “Kingmen” among their own people) who refused to make a covenant of peace.

The converted (to the gospel) Lamanites also had no problem with militarily wiping out those Gadianton robbers who would not forsake their murderous ways.

As I see it, the problems in Nephite celebrations over their enemies (specifically King Noah’s initial victories, and the early temporary victories during Mormon’s lifetime) were the gloating and the boasting of their own strength, and not giving credit to the Lord.
