		<description><![CDATA[I think the background is more interesting than the plot of this story--maybe because it reminds me of my earliest memories from Provo, Utah, about twenty years after this story was written:

Relief Society as a &quot;school-year&quot; organization, with a beginning in September and an ending in May or June.  One lesson per month on &quot;Theology&quot; and the others on literature and other subjects.  And &quot;work meeting.&quot;

All the women referring to others as &quot;Mrs. So-and-so&quot; not &quot;Sister.&quot;

Visiting the ward relief society women by walking down the street and going from one house to the next to the next usw.

The suggestion that the girl wear a shorter skirt!!  When was the last time you heard that??

Running into all the ward members--at least the women--while shopping.  My mother used to do exactly that when we went to &quot;downtown&quot; Provo--I couldn&#039;t figure out how she knew everybody in the whole town, but she must have.]]></description>
