So glad there’s interest in this one. I thought it was a great one for seeing into the lives of LDS women of a couple of generations ago, and the series addresses some themes that I don’t think would find a place in today’s magazines (even if they did publish fiction), despite how real those themes are.

I like this as a complement to the heralded RS history we’re supposed to be seeing in the near future… a kind of RS as my Grandmother would have known it as a new convert in 1940-something. My memories of pre-correlation RS are limited to lots-of-legs around a quilt as I played underneath, peanut-butter-and-honey sandwiches fed to the nursery during workmeetings, and the cookbook sold alongside the bakesale to build the branch building. Stories like this gives me a more grown-up viewpoint. Thanks. Looking forward to reading more.
