I like these older lessons, too, for the most part. It may be the particular old-fashioned flavor, or it might just be that because it&#039;s &lt;em&gt;different&lt;/em&gt;, whatever the style, that it makes me see familiar lessons in a different way.

I happen to be a sucker for all things from that era (30&#039;s and 40&#039;s) but never imagined I could even prefer old-style gospel lessons!  The Suggestive Closing Prayers are particularly interesting.  Never seen such a thing as that before, but each of the prayers are really beautiful.  No one prays that eloquently any more.  I wonder what kind of reaction one would receive if they attempted such a prayer at the closing of a meeting today?]]></description>
