He had a brief (barely one-year) marriage in the ’70s; if he married again or had children, I do not know.

If anyone in Houston — or elsewhere, with access to Texas newspapers — would volunteer to look up his obituary, we’d probably learn quite a bit. I just haven’t been able to find more with the resources available to me here.

Reminds me of my favorite charity, Child’s Play. http://www.childsplaycharity.org/

This charity donates books, movies, and toys to children’s hospitals across the world. Most of the hospitals have set up Amazon wish lists, so you can donate the items directly to the hospital; the charity has 0$ overhead.

(Warning: the creators of Child’s Play have a webcomic called Penny Arcade that is…quite R rated. The charity itself, however, is G rated.)
