That’s quite an interesting name. Looking him up, I’m wondering why he didn’t go by his first name, the more prosaic “Alexander.”

It looks like his sculptures can be found in multiple locations in Oregon and at various places across the country all the way to Princeton, New Jersey, and Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

The Pioneer Mother shown on this cover may be the one listed (but not shown) in his wikipedia entry as being in Kansas City, Missouri.

Proctor also did at least one other “Pioneer Mother,” this one found on the University of Oregon campus.
